“KDL-46XBR5 Pretty Good…”

Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR5 Review from Amazon.com
Pros: Looks good turned off, extensive menus allow for limitless video and audio criteria to be changed, video games and DVDs look amazing, plenty of ports for all your junk, same ol’ remote Sony has used for 20 years now so you already know where everything is.
Cons: regular TV looks horrendous, even HD signals from cable only look passable in my opinion, STILL plenty of ghosting issues- the “120 khz” feature makes every TV show look like all the characters are digitally inserted or working against a blue screen, and the worst all is my set “pings”. When you turn it on or off or change a source OR just every now and then you hear this static-y CLICK or PING coming from the back of the set. Doesn’t sound good. I’m waiting for the day when it sets itself on fire.
Overall I like it. I won’t go into crazy detail, go check cnet.com for that. But I think LCD screens and high-def in general still has a long way to go. For 3 grand, you can do better.
